Hi, dear friends! Blessings to you as spring is upon us.
A lot of people I know are experiencing some intensity right now — either through emotions, physical condition, relationships, money, job or their spiritual path (of course, in the end, it’s all path . . .). For some people it’s change and for some it’s worries of the future (and for almost everyone there are memories from the past that affect us). For many there’s a feeling of standing on shaky ground — like anything could happen (and we’re afraid it will!).
The angels send you messages of spring cleaning as demonstrated by nature. They remind us that S P R I N G has arrived! That which we have longed for . . . waited for . . . endured winter for!
If any of you know the darling book “Ollie’s Ski Trip” by Elsa Beskow, you know of King Winter’s housekeeper Mrs. Thaw and what a mess she can make! She, with her broom, whisking away the dingy snow, the half-composted leaves, the sand and gravel. Yes, she cleans it up, but the process of cleaning up is no tidy matter.
The same is true for those things we want to clean up within ourselves. Where do we have some dingy snow hiding in the cold, shady spots? Where are there layers of dead, decaying leaves and mulch? Where’s the dirt? The filth?
Time to clean it out!
The angels ask us to look at the forces of nature and bring those methods within us. Heavy winds are trademarks of spring time as the movements of cold air and warm air clash.
Can we find spots within us that are clashing — a new thought with an old belief? Compassion with judgment? Boundaries with service? Those clashes hold the potential to bring about swift changes within us.
Sorting through these opposites, trying to integrate the new with the old, can leave us feeling ungrounded, desperately searching for something to cling onto.
The angels remind you the most stable thing to cling onto is your relationship with the divine. Meditation, contemplation and prayer allow you to find that place of centeredness and peace. From that place you can hear your guidance — you receive your next step. From that place the pieces begin to fit together. Those things that seemed opposite now melt together and greater clarity arrives. Wisdom builds. Perspective broadens.
And, when you connect in that place, the clean up happens — the winds of change blow through, cleaning out the corners, the cracks and crevices, behind, under, above and through. You’re safe in the eye of the storm, though. The recipient of the brilliance of change.
You’re safe and looked after. Those things that need to be shaken up, are.
Don’t worry about being harmed. You can bend but not break, regardless of what the outer appearances may be. Your spirit continues to shine brightly — even more brightly as you remove the layers that no longer serve you.
Blessings to you as the spring gales come.
Hi, friends!
For any of you who read my last post, remember I said I’d get around to figuring out why I drew to me that unpleasant task of cleaning up my dog’s accident?
Well I did. It was a message to myself that I’ve been surrounded by other people’s s**t lately. Um hmmm. Got it. Point taken, Self.
So, I cleaned this mess up, but in general, I’ll let others handle their own messes. Unless they ask for my help and then I will be honored to assist — while remaining energetically neutral, that is.
You know, it’s funny. I was sort of getting it along the way . . . I knew I wasn’t feeling great, physically or psychically. I knew I was feeling energetically heavy — I did the clearing the other day (and I did some venting to a couple of friends and my dear husband).
But what a clear, unavoidable, smelly, messy, spot-on message the accident was!
You’ve gotta love it! There’s brilliance there . . .
[My angels are standing around clapping and nodding at me for putting it all together for myself . . . Thanks, angels!]
Okay, so I’m sitting here doing the “final analysis” on the dog s**t thing. One part of me says, don’t leave people locked in the laundry room and stuff like this won’t happen . . . no, that’s not quite it . . .
The angels tell me not to get drawn into other people’s dramas. Stay separate from them. Let other people learn as they’ll learn and if they ask for guidance, I’ll be glad to help. Otherwise let them be. Stay energetic separate. Certainly, don’t follow people down the vibrational ladder — that’s not a bit helpful to me or to them.
Stay vibrationally uplifted by being in nature, by meditating, staying grounded (for me this often means vigorous yoga or dance) and consciously looking at the light and love that is inherently present in each person.
I confess I let myself forget that inherent light and love with a couple of people: a snitty receptionist, a couple of Memphis drivers and a couple of other people. A good reminder — I make my way back to A Course In Miracles work. I will forgive myself and I will forgive them. I will let go of the need to blame and to separate myself. I will forgive the momentary lapse into dark seeing.
Welcome back light seeing! Welcome back clarity and love! Welcome back, Self!
Spreading the light of awareness! Blessings of that light to you too!
Hi, friends! Ooh, it’s a beautiful day in Memphis today! In a little while I’m going to take a walk outside and enjoy the colors, sounds and scents of nature.
At the moment, though, I’m posting this because I’m putting off an unpleasant task — cleaning up an accident my dog made. When I returned home from my workout earlier I noticed it and for now I closed the door on it. But, I have to deal with it soon.
I admit it — these kinds of things irritate me. They’re not part of my “plan” for the day . . . I don’t prefer to deal with this.
From a law of attraction point of view, I know that I drew this to myself for some reason — I’ll figure that out later. And, I know it’s a chance for me to notice the contrast, in other words: those things I don’t want, so I can focus my mind on what I do want.
A quick attempt at an affirmation around this could be something like, “Keeping my home clean and tidy is easy and effortless for me. I enjoy a clean, tidy home.” Yes, I’ll work on that . . .
Have any of you noticed a heaviness lately? I really have. It’s an energetic heaviness that’s been with me for the last couple of days. Some of my colleagues are mentioning it and so are a couple of clients. Things are coming up to be addressed. For some people those are fears, for others it’s heavy, intense emotions and for others it’s disappointments and judgments.
For me it’s been a sort of constant irritation with situations, which I don’t usually experience. Lately, I’ve been able to stay energetically neutral and separate from unpleasant people and attitudes, allowing them to be there and not to affect me at all. But these last few days, I confess, I’m getting drawn into some sort of drama or general negativity. Ick!
I invite you to join me in energetically correcting these things — if you choose to join me, you can receive these Yuen corrections. Just hold the intention of receiving them and say to yourself, “Correct as Laura would.”
Here’s what I’m working for myself:
Negative energy in and out
Psychic energy in and out
Optimism / not optimism
Pessimism / not pessimism
Judgment of God/self/other / not judgment of God/self/other
Balanced / centered / stable
Separate / independent / empty / energy
Laura’s energy = Laura’s energy (substitute your name here)
All closings
- – - – - – - – - – - – -
There! I feel tons better — I hope you do too.
Some of us are becoming increasingly sensitive to negative energies and it’s easy for us to pick them up, like sponges. Hold the intention that you remain separate from those things that you don’t like. Another way of looking at that is to ask your angels to put up a shield for you so that only love moves between you and other people and situations — and the negative energy stays out.
There’s no need to judge the negative energy (that would mean that it still triggers you, so there’s more work to do on it) — we just let it pass by us without affecting us. It really is possible.
Okay, friends. I’m off to take on the unpleasant task. “It’s easy and effortless for me to keep a clean and tidy home. I enjoy — find joy in — a clean and tidy (and good-smelling) home.”
What’s your affirmation for today? Whatever it is, I join you in it.
Love to you all!
Hello, friends! Angel blessings to you all!
I’m back from spring break with my family and we had so much fun. We went to sunny — and I mean sunny – Florida, where we spent a few days at the beach and a few days in Orlando. We had so much fun.
I was still getting over that flu-like thing (whatever it was), which was manifesting itself in an ugly cough. Other than that I felt vibrant and expectant.
Being at the beach is one of my favorite things. The sound and sight of the waves lulls me into a sweet, light meditative state. I lift out of myself and begin to see everything around me with more light and love. My children playing in the waves and in the sand suddenly become the most beautiful images. I notice the details of the sand and the expanses of the sky and sea more fully. The in and out motion of the waves touch my inner breath and the beat of my heart and the flow of my blood. I can feel the life of the shell fragments that scatter the sand.
I am more of myself.
We began and ended our Florida vacation with trips to the beach. At one end, the ocean. At the other, the gulf. Two different personalities, two different texture. Both lovely.
In between we were in the mix of all sorts of crowds. Thousands of people. It’s sort of invigorating in its own way. (As long as you stay energetically separate from the thousands of personalities and perspectives . . . which, I always prepare for.)
Angels surrounded me each day of those busy, touristy days. One day, my husband lost our new digital camera on one of the rides. As I went through the line to see if I could find it, the man loading people onto the ride was holding our camera! When he handed it to me, smiling, I noticed that his name was Angel. Of course it was!
The next day, the man checking our bags in the security line was named Raphael — a sign that I’d need to do some healing on myself later that day (I had some strange breathing issue come up). Raphael is the archangel of healing — his color is green and is always at hand to assist with our physical and non-physical healing.
We had a number of other delightful little surprises pop up during our trip. I saw a girl wearing a T-shirt that had angel wings silk-screened on the back. How cute! And, a nice reminder that our angels walk with us even at amusement parks.
In the end, I return home feeling rejuvenated and optimistic. Some trees are in bloom here in Memphis, and spring in the mid-south is very pretty.
I’m emerging from a series of ego tests, as I wrote last. It’s felt a little like cross country or track practice. I keep running the distance and another assignment shows up the next day. But, I’m gaining strength and I’m creating endurance for myself and that feels good!
Sending love and blessings of joy and endurance for all of you. Remember that angels surround us always — look for them! They love us and guide us and bring us our best selves.
Happy spring!
Whooh, Nellie! (As a friend of mine would say) I’m coming out of a little flu-like thing (whatever it was). Yuck! Sore throat, headache, fever, crazy internal thermostat . . . What a nuisance!
Of course, I did plenty of Yuen energy healing corrections on it but wish I’d have taken homeopathics much earlier in the process. I’m feeling tons better now.
Part of the Yuen protocol is to find out if there are “issues”, “triggers” or “choices” contributing to the illness. One of the triggers was my taking on a new layer of my own learning and understanding about forgiveness. It’s that radical, complete forgiveness that Gary Renard talks about in his books. I was trying to incorporate the concept more fully and more broadly — and more immediately. And, my ego slammed me! Literally right upside the head!
ARGHH . . .
So, I kept working it, kept forgiving it, kept knowing that everything was okay, that this “illness” wasn’t even real, it was just something that part of myself created to keep me off track (at least for a couple of days). The angels sat with me, offering their companionship and comfort, yet allowing me the space to work through the learning associated with the test.
Finally, almost the whole thing lifted when I chaperoned a little field trip to a ballet/hip-hop/modern dance troupe’s performance. [angelic harp music] I *love* dance! I took a bunch of dance for years — all types of dance. Except, I have to say hip-hop and I’d have to have some pretty serious instruction to find that groove, but it would be fun to try!
So, as I wrote in a post a while back, the ego will continue to give us challenges to overcome on the path and the fastest way to emerge from those tests is to work on ourselves. Forgive everything that contributes to the issue, heal everything from the past, release what isn’t ours, address what is. The tests and challenges are mirrors that we can investigate. Believe me, it’s not always fun. It’s not always pretty. But it does move you forward.
It was tempting at times to feel like a victim (like when I was lying on the floor, exhausted after putting away a load of laundry, or when I couldn’t find the energy to wash the dishes), but really, there was nothing victim-y about it. It was just an opportunity to put the concepts into practice (I’d have chosen a little easier test, but, oh well!). And, there will be more.
I say, “Bring them on! Let’s keep the momentum going! I’m ready to work the layers!”
Blessings to you as you work yours! Love and healing . . .
A reminder to all of you that you are magnificent, beloved children of God! The angels surround you with their lovely wings and their soft caresses and ask you not to be afraid or lonely. They ask you to remember your true nature and to rise into it fully. They ask you to stand tall and straight and raise your faces to the heavens and feel the love beams warm your face (even if it’s freezing cold outside and you’re ankle-deep in snow!).
Sending you these waves of love today — simple and pure.
Hello, my friends! Oh, I just love the angels’ sense of proportion and balance. My last post was a call to bring you out of the depths and now the angels want to invite you back into the depths.
If you’re coming from the Christian tradition, you may be aware that yesterday was Ash Wednesday — the beginning of Lent. For many people the 40 days and 40 nights of the Lenten season is a time for deep reflection and contemplation. Some traditions call for a sacrifice to be made — giving up some luxury or pleasure for this time frame. That’s a step toward purification of body and mind, so that the spirit has a chance to swell and bloom. Other traditions call for a deeper study of ancient texts or an increase in prayer and meditation. These are ways to deepen our connection to the divine and to bring Christ into our hearts and souls.
In past years I have found Lent to be a time of significant spiritual awakening. I come from the Protestant Christian tradition where we take on deeper study or prayer during Lent. Those times have been very fruitful for me. Taking on a meditation discipline for 40 straight days can be a challenge, but the challenge we feel is coming from our ego (who doesn’t want us to realize our full relationship with divine, but instead wants to keep us trapped in a power struggle with God). Once we learn ways to overcome the struggle (or just muscle through it), we come to a place of beautiful peace — a glimpse of heaven on earth.
So the angels ask you to try meditation or prayer — or strengthen your practice. Meet them in the center of your perception. Like the spiral (my favorite spiritual symbol) that circles around and around, moving always toward the center, the angels invite you to travel that path of inward movement through deep breathing and visualization until you near the center. You’ll find them there, waiting for you, loving you each moment.
Sit with them there and drink in their beauty and peace and know that that is who you truly are. You are beauty and peace. You are calm and wisdom. You are generosity and light. You are in the world but not of it. You are a child of heaven.
Yes, you are. You are loved beyond human measure.
In this center space, you may find things that need to be shed from yourself — old worries, false beliefs about yourself, limitations that no longer fit, old grievances that are ready to float on, old grudges that no longer serve anything, other people’s false teachings that you know in your heart aren’t from God. Release those to the angels. Just hand them over. They’ll gather them up and fly them heavenward where they’ll be transformed by the love of God into something of beauty that can bless you.
Sometimes when I’ve worked with clients that image looks like a black box of filth that the angels carry upward. When they get into the heavenly realms, they open the box and out fly hundreds of butterflies. It’s a gorgeous sight! Don’t be afraid to hand over your ick — once the angels and God get a hold of it, it turns into breathtaking beauty!
(That’s how the power of love and forgiveness works — and there will come a time when you will be able to do the very same thing for yourself and for other people!)
As you come back out of the spiral and back into earthly perception, carry these Truths with you throughout your day. Carry with you the beauty that you are. Be the beauty. See the beauty. Share the beauty.
The angels invite you back into the depths — to share some time with them. Blessings on your hearts and souls — you are magnificent!
Hi, everyone! It’s funny, I’m sitting here at my computer, getting ready to write a new post and instead of a topic, the angels gave me the title: “From Out of The Depths”. I wonder what they’ll say . . . [giggle]
The angels say that they know that many of you are feeling like you’re in the depths — they’re saying like in the bottom of a pit or well and it’s feeling dark, damp and very uncomfortable and scary. They want you to know that they are in there with you. You’re not alone — you’re not alone in the dark.
Light is brilliantly shining from the angels and is illuminating the space where you are. It may not seem like it. It may seem completely dark and lonely to you right now.
They implore you to close your eyes, begin to breath deeply and calmly and to turn your attention inward. Begin to fold the edges of your conscious perceptive field in and onto itself. Let it begin to fall into itself. Feel the sensation of falling (similar to how it feels as you begin to drift off to sleep, but hold onto your consciousness) and then maybe the feeling of rising.
You are in the hands of the divine in each moment of your life. I love the image of sitting in the palm of God’s hand. That’s where you are — and your angels surround you in this moment.
Can you find that place within yourself where you recognize this dark, damp pit to be an illusion, like a bad dream? That you’re really, truly safe, warm and cuddled? Can you begin to feel the swelling of your heart in recognition of your connection with the divine?
Your angels want to comfort you right now. They want to guide you up and out of that dark, lonely place. They want to shine their light on you so you can bask in that warmth and love. They want to show you your truest essence — love and peace.
They also want you to realize that if this feels like the depths of a “dark night of the soul”, that they can help you with the transformation that comes from a time spent in the desert or in the darkness. This temporary place of heavy darkness may be instrumental to an opening and expanding of your heart and mind. It may be extremely healing to your soul (even while it’s challenging). Remember that after the 40 days in the wilderness, Jesus was attended to by angels — you are too, my friends! The angels are there to attend to you and this growth that is happening for you.
The surest way out of the depths is go inward, embrace silence and stillness and prepare for the little voice that will call you out. Expect it, because it will come for you. That will be your guidance — from your angels or ascended masters. That will be your pathway out of the depths.
Friends, you are never alone! The angels say it again and again — you are never alone. You are never alone. You are never alone.
They say some of you are hearing this like it’s just a pretty little thing to say, but you’re not letting the Truth and fullness of the message in. They say your mind is blocking it from reaching your heart where you can emotionally respond to it.
However, they also assure you that when they speak, it’s a message for your heart and soul and although your intellect may judge and reject it, the message still gets through and that’s why the voice is small and quiet — it originates from the heart and soul space. That is why you must make some time for meditation and contemplation — to gain practice on quieting the mind so you can hear your heart and soul messages.
That and they encourage you to ask for help — to not feel like you must do it all yourselves. Their purpose and joy it to be of service to humanity and they eagerly wait for our invitation to take part in our lives.
Hear the angels calling you and let them lift you out of the depths and into the light!
A question from a reader: “Why do people feel they need to suffer so much? Some people seem to hold the belief that if they’re not suffering each day, they’re not doing something right. Why?”
When I begin working on this issue from an energetic perspective, all kinds of interesting things come up to be corrected and healed. A big one is the false belief that the more you suffer, the more spiritual you are. There are often religious and collective consciousness beliefs to be cleared.
Another big one can be past life karma. For example, in a past life you’ve caused someone else to suffer or witnessed someone else suffering and didn’t do anything to help and now you feel you must suffer in this lifetime to make up for that. You hold the energy that you deserve to suffer.
A separate caveat to that is the belief that if I suffer — if I’m a victim — then I’m not hurting someone else. I’m not a victimizer. There is often a past life connection here too — this person wants so much to do no harm that he or she takes on the victim role instead.
When I do energy healings around this, I always work both sides of it — how does the client feel about suffering and not suffering, being a victim and not being a victim. I check things like responsibility, blame, forgiveness issues, memories, karma, trauma . . .
I like what Stuart Wilde says in Life Wasn’t Meant to Be a Struggle (I’m paraphrasing) — there is a difference between effort and struggle. Yes, life requires some effort — just like a tiger chasing and attacking its prey — but the natural order of things is not struggle. The tiger doesn’t find the attack a struggle, something that drains her. She expends the energy and receives the reward from it.
Sometimes we get a caught up in the struggle of it. And, it can be tempting to hang out with other people who are struggling and talk about how bad things are. (Ooh, that can be a major energetic sink-hole — one that’s tough to climb out of . . .) Sometimes, out of compassion, we may join people in the sink-hole even if we don’t really feel that way ourselves. Although that may feel noble at the time, in fact there’s most likely a guilt piece that could be healed — how do you feel about doing well when someone else is suffering?
The quote from Marianne Williamson that I posted the other day alluded to this as well — kind of from the opposite perspective. It doesn’t help someone else if we hold back our light — in fact, by shining our light as brightly as we can, it gives other people permission to seek their own brightness.
Our angels absolutely want to help us with this issue. They say that our truest nature is one of bliss and joy, not despair. They surround us with love and comfort and try to draw us out of that place of suffering into a place of perspective where we can see our earthly circumstances for what they really are.
They’d love to help us step out of struggle and suffering and into motivated effort. What do we need to do to move our lives forward? They’ll help us figure that out if we’re willing to step out of the suffering. It’s a big step for some people — that mud is pretty deep and it’s even seeped into the rubber boots you’re wearing, creating a vacuum that’s going to take some effort to break.
Remember, though, you’re not a victim of the mud or the rubber boots — honey, you stepped in there yourself. Let go of the blame and the freak-out and just muster up the effort to step out — at least wiggle your foot, preparing for the step. Keep wiggling until you can move your foot and step out onto the dry bank. It’s not far. Motivated effort gives you strength — victim struggling makes you weak.
Visualize stepping out. Imagine what it would feel like to step out. Think about what you would do if you weren’t suffering and stuck. Start to bring those feelings and images close to you and move toward that future for yourself.
If someone near you is reinforcing your suffering, please stop listening to them and begin listening to the little voice inside that says, “Yes, you can step up and out of this mess! Yes, you can!”
Yes, you can. Clear horizons are out there and they can be for you.
When you have someone in your life who is one suffering the angels advise you to keep your light shining brightly. The source of that light is God/Universal Source Energy/Love/Higher Self, so you don’t need to generate the energy to keep it burning. But, it’s crucial to connect to the source through prayer and meditation — otherwise you can get drained and burned out.
Try to remain separate from that person’s drama and suffering mentality — and shower them and yourself with love. Ask the angels to remove any cords and attachments with this person that causes a feeling of draining. Of course, the connections of love never get severed, just those draining, enmeshed energy connections.
Remember the Truth that you are loved. You’re never alone, even for a moment, in that muddy place — there’s always a helping hand stretched out to help give you balance and strength.
Blessings for a future that is just as you envision it to be!
Hi, everyone! Sending waves of love and light out to you all. I did healing and angel sessions last night at the Reiki circle at The Sanctuary, and as usual after that, my vibration is very high and I’m sharing that with you. Thanks to everyone who signed up for a session with me — you are all magnificent souls.
Today the angels want to talk about worthiness. Almost all of us have issues of some sort around worthiness. Often it’s issues of feeling worthy of love — receiving love from God, ourselves and from other people. There are important archetypes that come into play here as well — mother, father, child, friend, boss, employee. How do we feel about giving and receiving love from this group of people? How do we feel about loving ourselves?
When I’m doing a healing session and this comes up — the angels telling us to love ourselves more fully — I begin to check in with Yuen on lots of different layers.
How is your energy to the word “love” itself? The concept of love, the concept of not-love. Is there a selfishness piece when you think of receiving love or not receiving love? Do you feel like if you receive love you take it away from someone else? Were there times that you did not love with a pure heart? Or loved too much and were hurt? Or hurt someone else? There would be forgiveness issues and memories to correct for. Remember that I check your energy around these questions — and our energy often doesn’t match our conscious beliefs . . .
Feeling love from God and the angels can bring up additional issues for people. Although most of us would consciously say that we love God and we know that God loves us, in reality, our energy doesn’t always support that. The angels show me an image of someone standing there, face-to-face with God, looking God in the eyes. How does that image make you feel? Could you stand in God’s presence and give love purely and receive love purely?
Most of us would like to think we could, but probably couldn’t. (In fact as I write this I can feel the intimidation that is out there . . .)
Here’s where guilt and worthiness comes into play. Many of us hold some guilt about “sins” and our pasts that keep us from being able to look God in the eyes and receive love. Can we accept the idea that maybe God loves us unconditionally even if we feel some guilt? That God wants to embrace us even if we aren’t proud of ourselves for each thing we’ve done and said?
Can we forgive ourselves like God has forgiven us? Can we heal these things within ourselves and open our hearts so that we can love and receive love without something clogging the works?
The angels want to help you with letting these feelings go. Letting the past go. They can gather up all that icky, sticky stuff and rise up to the light of heaven with it where it can be transmuted into clear, loving energy that falls gently back to earth like a scattering of flower petals.
The primary relationship we must attend to is ours with our Creator — use whatever word or image you like best: God, Higher Source, Higher Self, Universal Source Energy. Nurture your ability to snuggle in close with God and all the rest of your earthly relationships will begin to ease up. Fluidity in communication and the back-and-forth flow of love, acceptance and forgiveness will begin to appear. You will be so filled with God love that earth love will be sweeter.
Don’t be worried about expressing anything “negative” or “impolite” to God. The angels assure you (and I can attest to this myself) that in bringing your complaints to God, you open up the healing pathways. By telling God that you blame God for something and that you’re mad about it gives God a chance to love you and tell you what is so. That leads to faster healing and a closer relationship. You won’t shock God. God knows it all already!
It’s a simple idea — this nurturing your relationship with God, but it’s not easy. There are lots of layers there to work through and encounter. Certainly there are more facets to this than a little blog post can cover, but the point is to invite you to begin or continue on this path — and to encourage you that only good will come of it, even it there are painful spots along the way.
Your angels will take you by the hand through the dark patches and lead you onward toward the light.
You are worthy of being loved — that is your true nature. What you were created to be. Blessings today!
