This taken from an email I sent to my clients, colleagues and students in Memphis . . .

Hi!  This is my third attempt at sending this email . . . the first time I got distracted and the second time I’d like to blame Comcast’s bummer of an email program, but in truth, energetically it must not have been the right time to send it . . .  Anyway, let’s hope third time’s a charm.

Happy spring to you!  I’m looking out my window at the blooming pear tree and my heart feels happy.  I did two hours of yoga today and my body feels happy.  I hope the same for you today.

I’ve got some news to share — some surface layers and some “underneath it” layers.  Surface first.

My husband accepted a position in Wisconsin and we’re preparing to move.  We’ll be leaving in June, so nothing too immediate, but as you can imagine, there are many details to attend to (especially getting our house on the market).  So, if you drive by or come to my home office, you’ll see a for-sale sign out front.

But this is not a good-bye email — not in the least!  I’m going to be around for a few more months and will be doing angel readings and energy healing sessions right up until the time we leave.  Also, I’m looking into doing teleseminars so I can offer group gatherings by phone.  I’ve so enjoyed the group sessions we’ve done  and look forward to continuing with those, just in a different form.  Also, I work with clients all over the country by phone, so we can continue to work together even after I move out of state.  For my yoga friends, I’m going to continue to teach my yoga classes as long as it makes sense (my WPS classes will continue through the end of the school year).

Okay, now for the “underneath it” stuff.  The really cool part.

So . . . a couple of years ago my husband was feeling pretty stuck in life, not sure if he liked what he was doing for work (even though he was really good at it) and not sure what he wanted to do with his life (this can happen when you’re the sole breadwinner for a family of five).  I was just getting into this type of work and my thoughts were beginning to move in the direction of Law of Attraction and the power of intention and energy.  So I asked him what he would love to do if money wasn’t an issue (he’s very responsible and concerned about money) and he said he’d tailgate at Miller Stadium and watch the Brewers game (professional baseball team in Milwaukee).  We laughed.

In the meantime . . . he’s always slept with a baseball bat underneath the bed (for protection, with no awareness of feng shui) and we decorated our son’s room with a baseball theme, with the Brewers, RedSox and Rockies front and center (just cuz we all love baseball — plus our son is pretty much the cutest little baseball player I’ve ever seen).

Anyway, leaving out a few details, my husband learns about an open corporate position with the Milwaukee Brewers baseball club!  He applies and interviews and gets the job!  It’s not exactly tailgating, but it’s just about as close as you can get and still get paid!  His office will be at Miller Park and he’ll have to be at every home game.  He’s the envy of all of his friends and is so excited about this new opportunity.  And, I’m thrilled for him!

Pretty cool.  It’s all Law of Attraction — he put out to the universe what he wanted and in time it showed up.  Throughout the process, he wasn’t certain he’d get the job — usually you have to start in the sports industry from the beginning of your career.  But, he kept focused on what he wanted and it came together for him.  And, it’s great for our family because he and I were born and raised in Wisconsin, so we’re going home to family and old friends.

So, keep focused on what you want.  Watch your thoughts — keep them aligned with what you want, not what you don’t want.  Because like attracts like.  If you want to make a change, focus on what you want (like “I want to breathe only clean, pure air”, not “I want to stop smoking”).  Or if you want more gentle, nurturing relationships, focus your thinking on “I’m surrounded by people who respect me, care for me, encourage and love me.  I’m happy and at peace in my relationships.”  This is affirming language and thinking.  And, I admit that it sounds funny and contrived at first, but with practice it will become more familiar and you’ll begin to feel the power of it.

Sources you can use for this:
– “The Law of Attraction” and “Ask and It is Given” by Esther and Jerry Hicks
– “The Secret” DVD and book by Rhonda Byrne (I think)
– “Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life” (I think) by Wayne Dyer

The feng shui I don’t know a whole lot about with the exception of a few simple remedies, so I can’t be much help there, but if you want to attract something to you, some people recommend putting a picture of that thing under your bed or pillow . . . (it’s a little ritualistic for my taste, but it works wonders for some people — doesn’t hurt to try . . .).

Thanks for letting me share my personal news with you.  It’s been a wonderful three years here in Memphis — I’ve learned so much about life and about myself and it’s been a deep honor to work with you.  Soul to soul.  It’s truly sacred space when I work and I thank you for your trust.  I bow to you in respect and love.

Blessings of the angels and ascended masters to you!  If you’d like to schedule a personal healing session/angel reading, just let me know.

Love of the highest, Laura
