Waves of blessings to you today!

Lately I’ve been working a lot with the concept of contrast.  For those of you familiar with the Law of Attraction and the Abraham/Hicks books, you may know what I’m talking about here.  There are times we see things in the world and in our lives that we do *not* want.  Things we don’t like.  Things that spoil our plans for our lives.

In “Ask and It Is Given”, Esther and Jerry Hicks and Abraham talk about not putting those unwanted ingredients in your pie:

“Imagine yourself as a chef in an extremely well-stocked kitchen that contains every imaginable ingredient.  Let us say that you have a clear idea of the culinary creation you desire, and you understand how to combine these easily accessible ingredients in order to fulfill your desire.  And as you proceed, there are many ingredients that are not appropriate for your creation, so you do not utilize them, but you also feel no discomfort about their existence.  You simply utilize the ingredients that will enhance your creation–and you leave the ingredients that are not appropriate for your creation out of your pie.

Some of the ingredients in this well-stocked kitchen are harmonious with your creation, and some of them are not.  But even though adding some of these ingredients to your creation would absolutely ruin your pie, you do not feel the need to push against those ingredients, or to ban them from the kitchen, because you understand that there is no reason for them to end up in your pie unless you put them in it.   And since you are clear about which ones enhance your creation and which ones do not enhance it, you feel no concern about the great variety of ingredients that exist.”

The teachings of Abraham (and please know that I’m not an expert) encourage us to see that we are in complete control of our lives.  Those things that we feel strongly about (good and bad), we attract into our lives.  This was a pretty big concept for me to embrace at first, but now I come to realize the truth of it.

The Law of Attraction work would encourage us to pay attention to our emotions and our thoughts and to continue to work toward affirmative thought patterns.  Focus on what you want, not on what you don’t want.  Affirm what you desire.

My Yuen energy healing practice supports this process on an energetic, sub-conscious level, aligning our energy with our conscious mind.  It’s a powerful pairing when you begin to work it all together.

So . . .  anyway, I’ve been getting more and more clear on what I want out of life.  And . . . I’ve been seeing more and more of what I don’t want in my life.  If you’re (I’m) not aware of it, seeing these “undesirable” things can be frustrating because they are opposite of where I want to go.  But, truly, their appearance is an opportunity to get very, very clear about what I want.   Also, it’s an opportunity to work the energetic layers associated with it.

The key here is to realize that the undesirable “ingredients” are there — they exist — but they don’t have to be part of my creation.   I don’t have to push them away or freak out when I see them.  I just don’t have to choose them.

It’s helpful to understand what’s what.  It’s good to know what you don’t like and what doesn’t fit — and then just let them be.  That would be the concept of getting energetically neutral to it.   It’s worth the process of getting neutral to what you don’t like — and what you do like — it makes the manifestation process so much faster!

So, what are you putting in your pie?  What are you leaving out?

Hi, friends!

For any of you who read my last post, remember I said I’d get around to figuring out why I drew to me that unpleasant task of cleaning up my dog’s accident?

Well I did.  It was a message to myself that I’ve been surrounded by other people’s s**t lately.  Um hmmm.  Got it.  Point taken, Self.

So, I cleaned this mess up, but in general, I’ll let others handle their own messes.  Unless they ask for my help and then I will be honored to assist — while remaining energetically neutral, that is.

You know, it’s funny.  I was sort of getting it along the way . . .  I knew I wasn’t feeling great, physically or psychically.  I knew I was feeling energetically heavy — I did the clearing the other day (and I did some venting to a couple of friends and my dear husband).

But what a clear, unavoidable, smelly, messy, spot-on message the accident was!

You’ve gotta love it!  There’s brilliance there . . .

[My angels are standing around clapping and nodding at me for putting it all together for myself . . .  Thanks, angels!]

Okay, so I’m sitting here doing the “final analysis” on the dog s**t thing.  One part of me says, don’t leave people locked in the laundry room and stuff like this won’t happen . . .  no, that’s not quite it . . .

The angels tell me not to get drawn into other people’s dramas.  Stay separate from them.  Let other people learn as they’ll learn and if they ask for guidance, I’ll be glad to help.  Otherwise let them be.  Stay energetic separate.  Certainly, don’t follow people down the vibrational ladder — that’s not a bit helpful to me or to them.

Stay vibrationally uplifted by being in nature, by meditating, staying grounded (for me this often means vigorous yoga or dance) and consciously looking at the light and love that is inherently present in each person.

I confess I let myself forget that inherent light and love with a couple of people:  a snitty receptionist, a couple of Memphis drivers and a couple of other people.  A good reminder — I make my way back to A Course In Miracles work.  I will forgive myself and I will forgive them.  I will let go of the need to blame and to separate myself.  I will forgive the momentary lapse into dark seeing.

Welcome back light seeing!  Welcome back clarity and love!  Welcome back, Self!

Spreading the light of awareness!  Blessings of that light to you too!

Hi, friends!  Ooh, it’s a beautiful day in Memphis today!  In a little while I’m going to take a walk outside and enjoy the colors, sounds and scents of nature.

At the moment, though, I’m posting this because I’m putting off an unpleasant task — cleaning up an accident my dog made.    When I returned home from my workout earlier I noticed it and for now I closed the door on it.  But, I have to deal with it soon.

I admit it — these kinds of things irritate me.  They’re not part of my “plan” for the day . . .  I don’t prefer to deal with this.

From a law of attraction point of view, I know that I drew this to myself for some reason — I’ll figure that out later.  And, I know it’s a chance for me to notice the contrast, in other words:  those things I don’t want, so I can focus my mind on what I do want.

A quick attempt at an affirmation around this could be something like, “Keeping my home clean and tidy is easy and effortless for me.  I enjoy a clean, tidy home.”  Yes, I’ll work on that . . .

Have any of you noticed a heaviness lately?  I really have.  It’s an energetic heaviness that’s been with me for the last couple of days.  Some of my colleagues are mentioning it and so are a couple of clients.  Things are coming up to be addressed.  For some people those are fears, for others it’s heavy, intense emotions and for others it’s disappointments and judgments.

For me it’s been a sort of constant irritation with situations, which I don’t usually experience.  Lately, I’ve been able to stay energetically neutral and separate from unpleasant people and attitudes, allowing them to be there and not to affect me at all.  But these last few days, I confess, I’m getting drawn into some sort of drama or general negativity.  Ick!

I invite you to join me in energetically correcting these things — if you choose to join me, you can receive these Yuen corrections.  Just hold the intention of receiving them and say to yourself, “Correct as Laura would.”

Here’s what I’m working for myself:

Negative energy in and out

Psychic energy in and out

Optimism / not optimism

Pessimism / not pessimism

Judgment of God/self/other  /  not judgment of God/self/other

Balanced / centered / stable

Separate / independent / empty / energy

Laura’s energy = Laura’s energy (substitute your name here)

All closings

– – – – – – – – – – – – –

There!  I feel tons better — I hope you do too.

Some of us are becoming increasingly sensitive to negative energies and it’s easy for us to pick them up, like sponges.  Hold the intention that you remain separate from those things that you don’t like.  Another way of looking at that is to ask your angels to put up a shield for you so that only love moves between you and other people and situations  — and the negative energy stays out.

There’s no need to judge the negative energy (that would mean that it still triggers you, so there’s more work to do on it) — we just let it pass by us without affecting us.  It really is possible.

Okay, friends.  I’m off to take on the unpleasant task.  “It’s easy and effortless for me to keep a clean and tidy home.  I enjoy — find joy in — a clean and tidy (and good-smelling) home.”

What’s your affirmation for today?  Whatever it is, I join you in it.

Love to you all!
