Hi, dear friends — beloveds of heaven!

I’m hearing the message for all of us is to stay the course.  Don’t get distracted from your path.

It’s so easy to get distracted — we’re surrounded by all sorts of seductive ploys to keep us focused on our egos rather than our light of spirit.  I, for example, spend way too much time on the computer lately.  And, not doing anything important or productive — just surfing around wasting time.

Last night the angels gave me the repeated message of “creative expression”.  I knew they meant I should be working with my hands and heart and not zoning out in front of my computer screen.  So, I began to make photo album scrapbooks.  And, I picked up my knitting.  And then today I bought a great big painting canvas and I’m working on a new painting for my home.  I love painting!  I love knitting!  I love these things that require a little more action on my part.  In the end I’m rewarded with pretty things and that feels so good.

Stay.  The.  Course.  Stick with it.  Don’t get distracted by ego ploys.  And, if it’s not of love and light, then it’s ego ploys.  If it’s ego ploys, then you forgive it, heal it, love yourself and love others . . . and you prevail!

It’s easy to make excuses and blame other people or other circumstances or situations . . . or your parents . . . or your children . . . or your boss . . . or your neighbor . . . or the @#$% driver on the highway . . . or your genes . . . or the government . . . or corporate America . . . or the right . . . or the left . . .

Oh, yes, the list is good and long — just thinking up who or what to blame is a distraction.  Just look at yourself.  Start there.  Love yourself.  Forgive yourself.  Treat yourself with tenderness and gentleness.  Don’t lie to yourself.  Heal yourself.

Stay.  The.  Course.  Keep going!  You’ll be so glad you did.

Blessings of the highest to you today and always.  MWAH!  Kisses!

From “Daily Guidance From Your Angels”:

What Do You Desire?

You now have the opportunity to write the script according to your heart’s true desires.  Once you clearly decide upon your true desires and know that you’re ready and deserving of them, they’ll rush into your life as if by magic.

“I feel at last my life’s reality

Which, severed from the world’s existence,

Would in itself obliterate itself,

And building only on its own foundation,

Would in itself bring death upon itself.”

The Calendar of the Soul by Rudolf Steiner, translated from the German by Ruth and Hans Pusch

– – – – – – – – – –

This verse is all about grounding one’s reality into his or place within the world.  Steiner loves to talk about grounding — he writes all the time about how we are connected to the seasons and the rhythms of nature and the celestial bodies.

He also is very in tune with the need to be connected with the divine.  The divine spark of the spirit that each of us carries with us is truly the light upon our path.

Without it, our lives would not move forward in beauty and in truth.

The stronger we seek our connection . . .  the deeper we strive to initiate action, thought and word from that place of spirit that dwells within our soul . . . the more rich and rewarding our life experiences will be.

That is not to say that we can’t experience pleasure without a deep connection to Spirit.  Oh, we can.  And, many of us do.  But, as the Dalai Lama says (and I so love this), there is a difference between pleasure and happiness.

The road to happiness is longer sometimes, but it is so worth the journey.

Ground yourself in this world — find the tides and motions of the world moving within you just as your heart pumps.  Find metaphors in nature, in the stars, in the tides, in the animals that arrive on the scene.  Find deeper meanings in the cultural currents that adorn the newspapers and websites.

And, remember your spirit light — remember your higher consciousness, your inner wisdom.  Remember your path back home and your light will lead the way.

Blessings on your feet as they carry you along your path.

Hi, friends.  Well, most of you are aware that there is a significant solar eclipse happening tonight.  It’s not being seen here in the US — it can be seen in parts of India and other places in Asia — but many of us can feel it.

If you’re really into astrology and some other philosophies, you may have some very strong thoughts on the meaning of this celestial event.  I’ve heard some thoughts on it and am holding them all with passive interest.

If you’re not really into astrology and those other philosophies, what should you make of the longest solar eclipse in a long, long time?

Looking at it symbolically, at a basic level.  This is an unusually long period of transitory darkness.  It’s interesting and special.

Is there another part of your life that is in transition and feeling dark?  Do you feel like where there once was clarity and ease there no longer is?

The best thing to do is to remain aware of the constant shifting and evolution of situations and to remain focused steadfastly on your inner light and your desired outcome.  Allow the moon within to pass in front of your sun within knowing that this is a temporary arrangement and that the sun will shine out as brightly as before, very soon.

I spoke once with a client about the dark phase of the moon.  Often we associate darkness with fear and lack of knowing, but there were cultures in the past who revered the dark phase of the moon.  They gained strength from it.  They rejuvenated themselves during it.  It can be a time of introspection rather than action.  It can be a time of quiet solitude versus social interaction.

In the end, friends, what does the solar eclipse feel like it means to you?  Is this significant to you?  If so, become aware of why you feel that way — what can you learn from this or gain from this event.  If it doesn’t feel significant to you, then just let it pass.

Regardless of what you do around this event, please continue to travel your path of love, forgiveness, awareness and inner light.  That’s all that matters in the end.

These are powerful times, friends.  They really are.  Some of you are paying attention to the 2012 phenomenon.  Others of you are tuned into Karen Bishop’s Emerging Earth Angels writings.  Still others are just beginning to find your way inward and upward.

It’s all pretty powerful.  It feels like we’re moving at mach speed.

The angels remind you, though, that you’re at the wheel and they are your co-pilots.  So, you’re never alone and you’ve got some really competent help right beside you.  You can allow your courage to build.  You can take bold action.  You’re being looked after.

Or, you can surrender the driving to them for a bit.  You can unclench your fists from those parts of your life that need release.  You can let blood back into those white knuckles.

Whatever you do — and, believe me, I know you all are facing decisions — you can be assured that your guardian angels are looking out for you.  And, they guide you — they’ve got really good suggestions for you.  They know your entire journey and they can help you navigate your path so that it’s as smooth as possible (and still plenty picturesque and interesting).

One reading I did for a client a while back was about her journey through life.  The angels showed me that she was walking along the beach on these big stones and rocks.  It was tough going and she had to pay attention to every step she took or else she could fall.  What she didn’t realize because she was so focused on her feet, was that if she moved over to her left by about 25 feet, it just smooth sand.

That’s how it can be, friends, when you intend for your life to go more smoothly.  Your angels will draw your attention to a smoother path.  One you can relax into and enjoy a little more.  One that isn’t such hard work, but still gets you to the same place.  And, one that allows you to focus more on what’s going on around you while you move forward.

But, again, it requires some surrender and relinquishing of control.  That can be *really* scary, I know.  We Americans value being in control.  It’s tough to be dependent on anyone or anything — especially someone who we probably can’t see (though you can learn!).

As always, the angels encourage you to seek out their companionship.  Look for signs that they’re with you.  Look for repeated numbers popping up everywhere (like on digital clocks, phone numbers, license plates) — those numbers have meaning.  Post your numbers and I’ll look them up for you.

One day I was out running a whole bunch of errands and during that time I heard two angel songs on the store PA system — and a guy wearing a T-shirt with angel wings silk-screened on the back.  Now, that’s pretty obvious — and easy to see.  But, then again, I notice that kind of stuff.

You try it too!  What kinds of signs are you being given all day?  Look up for a minute and see what you can see!  They are with you and they love to show you how much they love you.

Love and blessings today!

“Surrendering to senses’ revelation

I lost the drive of my own being,

And dreamlike thinking seemed

To daze and rob me of my self.

Yet quickening there draws near

In sense appearance cosmic thinking.”

The Calendar of the Soul by Rudolf Steiner, translated from the German by Ruth and Hans Pusch

Sometimes when things start to feel fuzzy for us, when we begin to get confused and overwhelmed in our thinking, we need to turn to our feelings.  Let our heart guide us.  Let our gut guide us.  Step aside from the intellectual toward the intuitive.

This can be really tough for us.  We rely on our logical, thinking selves to guide us safely through life.  Concrete, science- and fact-based thinking seems like protection.  It’s predictable and it’s got almost a rule book.  If we do this, then that happens.  If I do this, then that other person will do that.  If I take this plan of action, then I can expect this outcome.

Good stuff, actually, this linear, logical thinking.  I used it all the time in my 20s and it served me quite well.

Until.

Until it no longer did.  Until I hit a major life snag that logical, linear thinking could not solve.  I felt overwhelmed and stuck in my head.  And it was scary!  I had no idea what to do or how to move forward.  That dazed state robbed me of my Self.

But, it was a catalyst toward a more integrated approach.  Once I surrendered, an opening appeared.   A beautiful, light-filled opening.  True safety.  Truth.  Love.  Wisdom.

Now, I didn’t know that at the time.  It was a long-ish process, this awakening.  I wasn’t exactly looking for it or expecting it.  I was more throwing myself down in the sand and letting the waves roll over me.  But, Spirit knew what she was doing and all the building blocks began to line up in a perfect row — and my Life began to bloom.

Allow yourself to open to your own inner wisdom and greatness.  Set aside your mental focus for a bit and get in touch with your senses.  Allow yourself to feel.  Allow yourself to get a little swept away in your sensations.

Be gentle and beautiful with yourself.  Love yourself and your feelings — your inner feelings and your outer feelings.

Let yourself experience cosmic thinking — the thinking of the cosmos through your body, heart and mind.

Hi, loves!

There are so many different ways to see our lives and all of the details contained within their days, weeks and years.  We can see them as problems to overcome, hassles to get through, hurdles to surmount.  That’s one way of seeing it.  Lots of us see it that way.

I think it’s kind of sad, actually, when people see life and relationships that way.  It’s like they’re just trying to get through the days and years without something bad happening.  Then, when they’re older, or some other threshold has been crossed, they’re nostalgic and regretful.  Maybe that’s just another problem for them to overcome . . .

Our angels encourage us to begin to let the curtains open on our lives.  To see through and beyond the ego-ridden surface.  To begin to see something else.  Some way else.

Things come up in life, no doubt.  Some undesirable stuff to be sure.  But, how else can we begin to see these things that come up?  Blessings in disguise, they say.  That’s a sweet, worn-out little phrase — my grandmothers used to use it a lot.  But, there’s a kernel of truth in cliches.

Blessings in disguise.  When we open up the curtains on our discomforts and irritations, what can we begin to find?  What patterns begin to materialize in our scope of vision?  Where do we begin to see that we’re attracting the same stuff over and over again?

Is it power and control stuff?  Is it victim stuff?  Is it communication stuff?  Is it forgiveness?  Judgment?  Condemnation?

How can we begin to turn these things around so that we’re surrounded by beauty and peace instead of these other things?  How can we attract what we want instead of what we don’t want?

It all begins with seeing ourselves and our world as blessings instead of hardships.  It begins with self love and acceptance — forgiveness and gentleness.  That’s no easy task, my dear friends.  Most of us think we’re doing that, but, oh my, these are tough things to do.

The gentleness alone is really tough to do!

Many of us are so much more willing and able to be gentle and loving toward other people.  We happily give ourselves away to make other people’s lives more comfortable, sometimes compromising our health and wellbeing to do it.  What if we turned that kindness and love onto ourselves?  (Yes, that might mean having to say no to certain people and situations — and, yes, that might mean some temporary discomfort . . .)

You are worth your own love and gentleness.  You are worth your own kind, encouraging words and care.  You are worth forgiving.

You are a child of God!  You are radiant, like a sun beam!  You are lit from within!

Can you begin to turn around your seeing and your thinking?  Can you begin to add up your blessings instead of your hardships?  Your angels can help you with this step because it is their great delight to help us remember how dearly loved we are by all of heaven.

Ask your angels to show you the way.  They’ll reach out their hands to you and gently guide you and your thoughts to the way of love and peace.

Meditate, friends.  Ask for help.  Be open to seeing things differently and trying new things to support your self care.  Yes, try energy healing — whatever modality you like.  Start to feel how multi-dimensional you are.  Start to bring your heart / mind / spirit into balance.

Add up your blessings — and your amazing opportunities!  You are dearly loved.

“When I forget the narrow will of self

the cosmic warmth that heralds summer’s glory

fills all my soul and spirit;

to lose myself in light

is the command of spirit vision

and intuition tells me strongly:

o lose yourself to find yourself.”

– Rudolf Steiner, The Calendar of the Soul, translated from the German by Ruth and Hans Pusch

Oooh!  I *love* this little verse!  It immediately speaks to me of glorious surrender.  Mmmmmmm, what a great feeling!  Slipping into that light-filled space where all the love and wisdom of the cosmos reside.  Being wrapped in a mantle of starry sparkles.  Being aware of the breadth and depth of truth.  Feeling the completeness of heavenly love.  Receiving the gift willingly and fully.

Mmmmmmmmm . . . .

Yes, that *is* what surrender can be like.  Beauty and peace beyond words and human expression.

However, I understand that surrender doesn’t feel like that right away.  Surrender can be really scary if you haven’t done it before.  It can feel like you’re standing with your back to a cliff and someone tells you to fall backwards and you’ll be caught.

What!!  How is that possible!!  There’s nothing there except certain death!!  You scream.  You clutch.  You resist.  (And, please know that I could easily write  “I scream.  I clutch.  I resist.”  Oh, believe me, I know this place very well.)

So, maybe you lean back just a wee bit.  And, you think you’ve done it.  *And*, you have!  It’s a beginning.  You’ve overcome some of your fear.  And, you didn’t die.  You didn’t perish.  It wasn’t really *fun* and it certainly wasn’t *peaceful*, but you did it.  And we celebrate that!

Then, you try it again when you’re ready (forgetting the narrow will of self) and you’re feeling the pull toward it (the command of spirit vision and intuition).  You stand there again at the edge of the cliff, but this time you notice the gorgeous scene that surrounds you (the cosmic warmth).  It’s really *beautiful* here!  Yes, and imagine what you *can’t* see until you fall backwards . . .

You try again.  You lean back a little more and maybe you feel that support, maybe you don’t.  But, maybe this time instead of feeling dread, you feel a little exhilerated.  Maybe not.  Keep trying this process as you feel guided.  There’s no need to push yourself or feel guilty about anything.  It *will* happen when the time is right.  You will release all of the fear that is holding you back, once all of it is released (yes, it’s circular because it’s circular).

Then, one glorious day, you’ll willingly, fully, Nestea plunge all the way back (losing yourself in light).  Arms stretched out in full surrender!  You’ll soar on the updraft.  You’ll nestle into the hands of God.  You’ll be surrounded by the feathers of angels’ wings.

You will lose yourself and find yourself.

And, oh, my friends, what a day that will be!

Blessings today!

In yoga today my teacher was talking about compost — you know, like one of my earlier posts.  How we can begin to see those less-than-lovely aspects of life as fertile soil for new growth.  I was pretty into my own inner practice, so I missed a lot of the details of her words, but the meaning got all the way in.

I’ve got another garden-ish topic:  weeding.  I’ve always kind of liked weeding.  I like how it makes the garden look tidy when you’re done.  I like how you’re able to discern what’s to keep and what’s to go.  I like how it feels to get my hands dirty and have something to show for my effort.  (Not so crazy about my aching fingernails and having to weed again next week, but, oh well . . .)

A train of thought came to me today about weeding.  This weekend I was weeding some grass from my flowerbeds in the backyard and it was a multi-stepped process.  I had to move the mulch out of the way.  Then pull the grass.  But the grass we have here in Memphis grows by runners, so as you go to pull out some of it, you’re immediately confronted with an offshoot.  And, the root systems are pretty tough.

So, I found myself working pretty hard to remove a little section of grass, about 4 feet x 4 feet.  I had to uncover the source by moving the coverings out of the way.  Then I dug to the roots.  Then I tugged them up.  Then there was another root system right next to that one and I tugged it up.  Then the runners — all the inter-connected runners.  I dug those up.  It was a lot of work.

That’s how my energy work goes too.  Sometimes it’s pretty straight-forward and easy — you just clear out the easy top layers and pull out the little weed.  But, other times, you’ve got to do some digging.  The roots can be stubborn (that would be the layers of resistance we encounter).  Sometimes you think you’re dealing with one thing and you find that it’s another thing altogether.  One things leads to another and pretty soon you’re digging all over the place.  Sometimes you’re not sure if it’s the same issue you began with.  But in the end, when all the digging and uprooting is done, the space is clean and clear.  Tidy and lovely.  Ahhhh.

Then there are times when we hit a rock and we can’t get to the roots of the matter unless we unearth the rock!  Now, don’t worry.  Even though the rock seems so heavy, so solid, so unmovable, it’s really just another layer.  So, we tip over the rock.  There, underneath is another system of roots to be dug up.  Not so bad, especially if the rock had been in a sunny place.  You pull out those weeds and put the place in order again.

But, I’m sorry to say that there are some rocks that are in the damp, shady spots and they’ve got some pretty repulsive critters living under them!  Like hundreds of little ants who need to move their hundreds of little eggs.  Or that creepy crawly orange thing with a hundred legs who’s scurrying around trying to find some other rock to crawl under.

Yep, there are those kinds of layers . . .  Again, no problem.  We just correct for all of that repulsiveness too.  We just get neutral, neutral, neutral.  We just weed, weed, weed.  We clean up the place and leave it nice and tidy.

[wiping the dirt off my hands]

Sending blessings on your weeding task.  Surrounding you with the clarity to know what needs to go and what needs to stay.  Surrounding you with the strength to pull it all up by the roots.  Surrounding you with the courage to lift up the rocks, no matter what might be living under them.

Holding the vision that when you’re done, your garden is beautiful — just as you truly are.

Hi, dear ones.  Sending waves of abundant love to you all.  The angels wrap you up in their beautiful wings and shower their blessings of peace on you.

I don’t know about you, but I’m the type who likes to figure stuff out.  I like to get to the bottom of the whys of life.  I really like analytical stuff.  I took statistics three times in college!  (Actually, the courses were required for my degree, but still . . .)

The angels say, though, that our tendency to work things out mentally can be a hinderance to our spiritual opening and flourshing.

Some things, we just simply won’t figure out, no matter how hard we try or how many times we turn it over and over in our heads.  There are things that just won’t make sense, just can’t be cataloged and filed away.

They say some of those “mysteries” of life are just the ego’s way of keeping us spinning our wheels in our limited perceptive field so that we don’t delve into the Mysteries of life — those deep, profound spiritual questions that keep us moving toward enlightenment and awe.

Those little mysteries are so compelling, though, aren’t they?  They keep us engaged.  Sometimes it’s a grudge or rivalry that you don’t really understand or remember the source of.  Sometimes it’s the outer manifestation of stuff — illness or tragic events or “acts of God”.  Those things — even though they don’t feel small at the time (they dominate our mental space) — are actually fitting into very small spaces in the overall picture of our Lives.  The image I get is a piece from a 1,000 piece puzzle — it’s just a tiny bit of the overall picture.

The angels ask you to step aside from these little mysteries — if even just for a few minutes a day.  See yourself beyond that.  Try to imagine yourself standing in the purity and expansiveness of heaven, looking at yourself on earth and begin to find perspective within your heart and mind.  Look at your life with wise knowing of the fullness of who you are and where you come from.

You are a beloved child of God and you come from the very heart and mind of pure, unconditional love and acceptance.  You are greatness and greatness surrounds you.  That is the Truth of your spiritual self — and that is an eternal state of being.

This lifetime with its challenges, tests and hurdles is not eternal — it’s very temporary.  It’s almost like an obstacle course — you know, one of those really hard, military-type ones.  You may not always feel like it, but you’re up to the test of this obstacle course.  You’re conditioned well.  You know what you need to know.

Remember that this knowing resides within you — deep within you.  You can begin to access this deep wisdom by quieting the mental chatter of these outer mysteries.  As you do that — quieting and centering — you will begin to find yourself drifting to that place of deep Mystery.  That is divine wisdom, living within your Self.

Ask your angels to accompany you as you journey to that inner place — they are joyful travel companions.  Don’t put any pressure on yourself to “get it right” or “perfect” — those are little mental mysteries that hold you back.

Just let yourself float inward.

As you continue to practice this, you will begin to receive brilliant, divine guidance about your life.  Very likely you will receive instruction to forgive all outward appearances of situations and of people.

Then, as you continue to forgive lower vibrational experiences like competition, hate, anger, fear and rivalry, you will begin to feel yourself running parallel to the wisdom that brought you the guidance.  You’ll have awakened that part of you to the point where it does not take special meditative preparation anymore.  It’s just on.

And, that, my dear friends is a Mystery that you will have no need of figuring out.  It just will be.
